Square foot Price

I charge $4.50 per square foot for all edge to edge designs.

Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 72 inches. This is 5ft x 6ft = 30sqft. 30 x 4.50 = $135

My minimum quilting charge is $60. This means that the square inch price will be rounded up to the minimum if the square inch price is less than $60.

Thread

I stock Glide (#40 weight). I don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square foot price.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color or if you want a different weight of thread.

Photography

I like to take photos to capture the quilt and the texture. Upon completion of the quilting, I will take photos of your quilt in my well-lit studio and then text/email those images to you to use however you wish. I'd just ask that you credit me for the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly. This extra service is included in your square inch price. I am not a professional photographer and there is no charge for this service.

Shipping

Shipping your top and backing to me: I live near Ottawa, Ontario and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.

Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via Canada Post Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Please indicate on the Book A Quilt form if you would like me to buy any insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while using the Postal Service, but I don't require it. Shipping charges are added to your invoice. I can provide you with a shipping quote after you fill out the Book A Quilt form.
